Musical Food

Allynna offers food and music after a Duty well done.

Allynna
Shibuya - Main Square

As Promised, there is food. After taking out that Goblin hole, Allynna left for Shibuya and has taken over the main square with a HUGE broth filled pot, another pot full of veggies, ANOTHER pot with fish and shrimp, and finaly, an iced tray full of tuna and salmon Sushi... there is also Cherry wine and sweet tea. To top it all off, the tall Bun is singing, not just normalsinging, but full blown Diva singing.

"Heart of amber, wrought in time"
"Culling swiftly, bleeding light"
"Smoldering softly, biding time"
"Marching forward, and left behind"

"The final hour, shadows clash"
"Forgotten footfalls engraved in ash"
"Fire will be repaid"
"'fore our echoes begin to fade"

"Fade away"
"Fade away"

"Heart of amber, wrought in time"
"Burning brightly, all in white"
"Kindred souls will never wear"
"Sorrow's silence will lead in prayer"

"Strum a song along the way"
"Tales of loss, and fire, and fate"
Yeowang
Shibuya - Main Square

Yeowang is not a big patron of the arts, but smiles as Allyanna sings, admiring the melody as she looks over the food that's been gathered. She's still getting used to Japanese food, but this looks pretty good. She's certainly survived on much poorer fare since coming to this game, so she appreciates it considerably. She's not a wine person, but the sweet tea is good, she'll go with that. She smiles warmly to Allynna as she sings, sampling the food and nibbling thoughtfully.
Fukaziroh
Shibuya - Main Square

Can there be anything better than hanging out after a deadly dangerous battle that was a victory?

Well sure there can. Ice cream for one thing. But Fuka's pretty happy to hang out after their group's success raiding goblin tunnels. Even if they didn't find the Queen, they fought a boss and claimed loot. That's a success in her books!

The little Sylph is daintily sipping sweet tea. Not that it's her beverage of choice but it IS sweet, and she needs at least some of that to get her through the day. The cherry wine seems interesting too, and she'll be sure to sample some. And the sushi. And the ramen. Yeah she's a bit of an epicurian if not an outright hedonist. But first, she's getting a rush from honeyed tea!

And singing too. She listens raptly, sure she hasn't heard the song before. Something original? Something from outside her own nation and experience? Music fascinates her, thanks to a dear friend sparking the interest in her, but she's not exactly broadly experienced in genres.

That doesn't stop her from cheering excessively and enthusiastically, of course. Naturally, only when the singing itself actually stops. She wouldn't interrupt it!
Allynna
Shibuya - Main Square

Allynna bows when she finishes the singing. "Thanks, I've been working on that, since my class has bard abilities, singing comes natrual to me... well... I always liked music." She says with a blush as she makes herself a bowl of ramen and sets it aside to cool down, since the broth is still boiling hot. Then she picks up her lute and starts to tune it. "I think I have another song... Inspired by a midsummer's night dream."

"Dancing on the wind up and down again"
"Round and round the bend"
"Fa la la la la la"
"From a flow'ry bed to the clouds ascend"
"Tumble down again"
"Fa la la la la la"
"Yet with each descent do we rise again"
"To our hearts' content"
"Fa la la la la la"
"Fly away my friend for a day and then"
"We'll begin again"
"Fa la la la la la"

"Till down turn the skies"
"Wonted quiet, wanton silence"
"For long do we lie"
"Wond'ring when we'll be"
Yeowang
Shibuya - Main Square

Yeowang applauds Allynna's second song, smiling warmly. She had to read A Midsummer Night's Dream in school, but that was years ago and doesn't recall it that well. She nods to Fuka, pretty pleased about winning a deadly battle. She's been in a few of those in this game.
Fukaziroh
Shibuya - Main Square

Fuka continues to be an enthusiastic audience. Seems Allynna's inventing these songs, or had invented them at some point before. "I do have a bit of song ability from my job, plus a few support artes, but I'm a big amateur when it comes to songs!" she cheerfully confesses. Singing is fun though, and she's gotten some good use out of it. And might do so later today. Plant a nice little... earworm.

But not this moment! "I've loved music ever since a dear friend introduced me to it." Fuka claims. "Before, there was always game music and streams and all, but it was... just *there*, you know? It's just so different with an actual singer!" she beams.
Allynna
Shibuya - Main Square

Allynna blushes more. "Music and games were always my two passions. It was really nice when you had a game who was scored by a master composer, like Uematsu-sama... he could make a soundtrack that could have paint drying sound like a heroic venture." She says with a smile. "I just find that playing music with some of my abilities make it's effect better... That's why I think useing abilities without the menu MIGHT be emotion based." She says as she sets her lute aside to take out a pair of chopsticks and dig into her ramen. "I just wish I could find a veggie thaqt's similar to Jalapenos... those are so good."
Yeowang
Shibuya - Main Square

Yeowang has zero singing ability, nor much experience with it socially, but she can appreciate it when she hears it, from both Fukaziroh and Allynna. She smirks, but nods to Allynna, saying, "In this game, there is a great deal of power in music and making it, both singing and playing. It's one of the many things I did not expect." Many many things.
Fukaziroh
Shibuya - Main Square

Fuka makes a face, but it's a bit exaggerated. She has no particular love of orchestral music, even if she appreciates it well enough. Her heart goes out to performance music rather than compositions!

After a bit, she samples some of the sushi. She's not sure about the advisability of using fish that hasn't been frozen, but of course there's no good way to freeze anything here. Yet. Besides, they have curative magic, there's nothing to worry about with eating herself sick!

She laughs, responding to Yeowang. "I've had a few good moments, using songs for inspiration, or to distract an enemy." she grins. "I'm sure it's more effective than if I sang just using my own ability. Naturally I can barely carry a tune-a!" she says, scooping up tuna and stuffing it into her mouth. After a moment she continues speaking, rudely without finishing what's in her mouth first. "I kinda figure the Landers have no idea whatsoever what I'm singing about, even if it improves their spirits! Like, I wonder if I'm even singing their language?"
Allynna
Shibuya - Main Square

Allynna smile as she finishes her first bowl of Ramen... yes that read 'first'. "Well, you can tuna piano but you can't tuna-fish... horrible joke I know." She says with a giggle as she pops a salmon sushi into her mouth and then pours a glass of Cherry wine. Then she removes her long black coat, because sometimes, being comfortable outweighs the stylish look. Under she wears what could be called a black tank top showing off arms that are used to holding the line. "Much better, Cosmetic outfits are great, but some of them are pretty uncomfy."
Yeowang
Shibuya - Main Square

Yeowang considers Fuka's words while trying not to watch her eating. "Well, probably everything translates, because everything is translated for everything else. But they may not understand concepts like trains and cars, or really anything outside the game." She nods gravely as Allynna mentions costmetic outfits being uncomfortable. "But sometimes you have to dress a certain way; for a guest, or for some event. But by all means, be comfortable." She clearly is, coat and pants of black, white shirt underneath, easy to move in .. but she's a godhand, moving around is her stock in trade.
Fukaziroh
Shibuya - Main Square

Fuka's hella buff for a fairy, but of course that's not saying much. The light-framed fair races just don't show much bulk. Salamanders or Gnomes, sure, but surely not Sylphs. Her concession to feasting and casual wear is effectively just having removed her bracers and war boots, leaving her in a decent forest-green dress suitable for travel rather than for dancing, and shoes which are more slipper than boot.

She laughs at Yeowang's assertion, not mockingly but in pleasure. "Yeah! But do they? If we sing songs we didn't invent, is it really translatable or is it like people singing English songs without understanding the words? And would any of us realize it if they weren't translating for the people of the land or would we just put the funny looks up to the odd words?"

They probably DO translate, just as Yeowang says, but Fuka loves the idea that maybe they don't, and the Landers just have typical Yamato reserve towards someone making a fool of themself; ignoring it so as to not cause shame.
Allynna
Shibuya - Main Square

"I think if it's good enough, They would enjoy the song in anycase. But a good idea might be to alter the words to fit the theme, kinda like Bardcore." Allynna says with a smile as she picks up her lute. "Observe..."

"Why don't you ask the kids at Ezzo Square"
"Was fashion the reason why they were there"
"They disguised it, hypnotized it"
"Harker made you buy it"

"I'm just sitting on my horse"
"And waiting for my..."

"She so scared that I will take her away from there"
"Her dreams and her country left with no one there"
"Mezmerize the simple minded"
"Propaganda leaves us blinded"

"I'm just sitting on my horse"
"And waiting for my Love"
"I'm just sitting on my horse"
"And waiting for my Love"

Allynna smiles as she looks atthe other two. "See?"
Yeowang
Shibuya - Main Square

Yeowang can only shrug to Fuka at that speculation. "There's no way to tell, I think, unless you were able to talk to a Lander and ask them to paraphras what they heard." But it's clearly not a high priority, information-research-wise. She nods at what Allynna suggests, "Yes, you can ask them, if yo really want to know. Though perhaps the amusement is in the speculation?"
Fukaziroh
Shibuya - Main Square

"Peko." Fuka says, entirely unhelpfully. "Possibly Grunty. You should be sitting on your grunty and waiting for your love."

She shrugs, and pours herself some of the lovely-smelling wine. "Not me. I say why wait? If you love someone, reach out and take them!" she says with accompanying gestures. Rather suggestive gestures at that! "Though, I guess that only works if they're the sort who wait for love. On their Peko." Fuka muses. "Otherwise they wouldn't be the one, and you reaching out and trying to take them will get you slapped! So it takes both kinds!" she declares triumphantly. "Pekos and Gruntys! Or... or something like that."
Allynna
Shibuya - Main Square

Allynna looks at Fuka. "There was this old american movie.. it had some big dude in it and then some cute blond and a really jacked up zulu chick.. and the blond asked the zulu chick 'now to you get a man.' and the zulu chick says 'grab him and take him.'" Allynna giggles. "So Fuka, you gonna grab me and take me?" She says as she matches the fairy's witty remark, leanring forwarm with an evil smile. Yes, she has had a few cups of the wine, that and those who know her know she LOVE pushing the envelope sometimes.
Yeowang
Shibuya - Main Square

Yeowang looks between the two singers, and finishes off her snack. "I will leave you two to sort things out between you," she says, and will head back out of the immediate area, explaining, "I have an early morning, tomorrow, and I need to get some rest." And so saying, will head out.
Fukaziroh
Shibuya - Main Square

Fuka's both too experienced and too casual to be easily flustered by flirting. She also likes to push that envelope though. "Are you... a man? OFFICER!" she calls out, pointing fingers at Ally.

Fuka doesn't actually have a problem with a man pretending to be a woman. Dressing like a woman, playing a woman in an online game, whatever. Nope, those sorts of things don't bother her in the slightest. But she can certainly falsely allege such a person might be a weirdo!!! Thing is she doesn't call out loudly. Just says it loudly enough to make a point, silly as it might be. "Besides, who said anything about a man? The last person I was determined to get like that was a woman. And for all you know she might have ruined me for anyone else!" she says piously. And not at all seriously, of course.
Allynna
Shibuya - Main Square

Allynna blinks. "Last time I checked I was a woman. I mean, I'm tougher than any man, but still..." She says as she crosses her arms over her chest and looks at the fairy. "I like women too, men can be... unintuative... emotionally tireing, and the Kami help you if they get a little cold." She says with a nod. "But you didn't answer my question, though, I doubt those small arms of your could..." She says with another smirk, being a tank, and having to now voice her taunts to the monsters, she's gotten kinda good and the witty one liners.
Fukaziroh
Shibuya - Main Square

"Do NOT underestimate a mighty battle fairy." Fuka says flatly. Then abruptly grins. "I can think of a man or two that's probably tougher than you. But not by much!" she admits.

"A true friendship between girls is a wonderful thing. Pure and wholesome. Except when it isn't of course!" she adds with a lecherous leer. "Such a shame most of the men I know are idiots. Especially the hot ones!" she sighs. "What's a delicate maiden to do~"
Allynna
Shibuya - Main Square

"Like I said sweetie, pound for pound you are the toughest... pound for pound and I have a whole lot more pounds than you do.. and MOST of it is Tokyo Muscle." She says with a nice flex. "Of course guys are dumb... You think if I actually liked guys that I'd probably have claimed Merek by now... but he is deffinatly a little brother... though, anyone breaks his heart, I'm gonna break their face." She says with a smile before looking at Fuka. "Delicate... I wouldent say all that Fuka, but if you like, I can Princess carry you off somewhere." She says as she strikes a valliant pose.
Fukaziroh
Shibuya - Main Square

Fuka casts a reproachful gaze upwards, then reaches out and deliberately picks out a piece of sushi which she proceeds to eat with great intensity. "Beware! All I have to do is add more pounds! I'll be the toughest EVER!" she declares. Then snorts, almost expirating rice.

She makes a face thinking about Merek. Not that she dislikes him, he's an obsessive weirdo. Which actually kind of makes him her type, if he was a little hotter. But she's been shipped with him before, and she wants to head THAT off before she gets imoutoed. Or has she? Maybe. "Relax, Oneesama. I might break hearts, but only because I'm so unbearably adorable. Your little brother has nothing to fear from me. Unless he's in the splash radius!"
Allynna
Shibuya - Main Square

Allynna giggles. "You and Merek? No way... I think a libarian type would fit him better, besides... I'd take you before he would." She says with a wink and takes her own sushi and tosses it up, before it lands right in her mouth. "Besides, I've knowm him since we played Fragment... though, I was more an explosion mistress and less a shield user... I do miss my huge spells..." She says with a wistful smile.

"Well, you have YET to answer my question, bit if you are wondering... Yes I am interested, but I'll leave it at that for YOU to decide." She says as she smirks and leans forward, her Bun ears sticking straight up. "Unless you are scared, I didnt know we let scared people into the guild." She says with a smirk, a daring evil smirk.
Fukaziroh
Shibuya - Main Square

Fuka kind of ships Merek and Uta, actually. And Uta, despite all her kung fu, fits Fuka's idea of a librarian. So point for Ally! "Explosions are quite nice." she agrees. Another point? "Even if I've been trying to get back to my roots as a weapon girl... the lure of explosions is something I can't ignore. Maybe I need to find someone with a big cannon..." she wonders aloud, teasing with innuendo.

She's not oblivious to what Ally's saying. And it's not like she's flat out rejecting the idea. It does, however, hit her in one of her problem areas. Something she can't just easily face... so it's better to deflect. "My charm IS irresistable." Fuka claims offhandedly. "If I'd used the body translation option it'd be worse. I'd have suitors for *miles*." she claims, not terribly serious. "But I am not a fickle woman, nor cruel beyond reason. If someone were to try to sweep me off my feet, they had best be *sure* I won't take offense. Or that I haven't already lost my heart to another. I feel very sorry for someone who would take me for granted... but not as sorry as I'd make them feel!"
Allynna
Shibuya - Main Square

Allynna smirks and stands up straight. "Gather them up in a nice cirle, Arctic blast to bind them in place, and then lava drop all the monsters, chain lightning to get the survivors." Allynna says off the top of her head. "The only downside is your manapool will drop by half for that little stunt, even wit hthe mana conserve skill AND an aether charm." She says before looking down at Fuka with a smirk. "I doubt you'd be offended by anything other than someone questioning your battle prowess, and I've seen you fight so I have no questions." She says as her shield pops out from her inventory and she slips an arm around fuka, putting the fairy girl between herself and her shield. "The question is though, can you dish out more damage than I can take?"
Fukaziroh
Shibuya - Main Square

Is it going to come down to that then? "If I want to abuse my mana pool like that I only need one spell." she says confidently. "But really, the strategy for fighting mobs and the strategy for duels is entirely different. I suspect, if you're going to be silly enough to put me between you and your shield, I certainly *can* do more damage than you can take!" she grins, looking up to offer a challenge.

"There's something you should know first though. You know the recent tournament? The best duellists in Yamato? I've fought one of the competitors before." Fuka boasts. She doesn't say how the fight turned out, mind you. "And I've been trained by the tournament winner." she adds. Trained in song technique. "And as close as I am to those duellists, I learned a great deal about fighting. It wouldn't be about how much damage I can do."

With that, Fuka makes a small gesture with a hand. A quick word. Not all magic is flashy or difficult to cast. Some spells can be done subtly or quickly, can conceal their nature so an opponent has no way to tell what's about to hit them. No good way to defend. Fireballs and lightning bolts are loud, obvious, and take a few moments to cast, requiring gestures and chants that make them predictable. But a flash gives no warning. Light erupts from Fuka's palm, bright enough to dazzle. "What you can't see, you can't block!" she adds, making no move whatsoever to escape or attack. No, if this is to turn into a fight, or even a duel, she's not going to initiate an actual attack. Duels without actual agreement and sanction can get the authorities upset, and they ARE in Shibuya. It's a good place to observe the rules, if only to know when to break them.
Allynna
Shibuya - Main Square

Allyanna is about to say somthing when she sees the light come from her friend's palm, but the stops as she looks to be thinking, as the glasses she wears reflect the light as her thoughts spin around in her head. "Hold on..." She says as she stands up and hooks her shield to her back, taking Fuka by the hand. "You just gave me an awsome idea Fuka!" She says trying to lead the battle fairy off to where thew training dummies are at...

"Objects in this game work shockingly different now than they used to, as in you have a stronger control of your spells, if you can get ypour axe out, I can cast a waterspell on it, and you could theoratically do double the damage... I'm sure the same can be said for any of our magical type spells... Maybe even the attack would be more than the sum of both." She says getting excited.
Fukaziroh
Shibuya - Main Square

Fuka's no stranger to enhancing physical strikes with artes. It's the whole basis of sword artes in the game after all. Using wave artes to enhance another's strike... she shrugs. "Honestly you'd be better off using the water attack yourself. I've seen combo attacks and they can be amazing. Like when Prof shot Yuu with a cannon. But they have to be for a solid tactical reason! Frost Bind before Lord of Vermillion, or Blink plus Assassinate." she observes. Yeah... Fuka's a bit of a nerd, with game exploitation as one of her hobbies. "Earth Chasm plus Gale of Swords. If all you're trying to do is hit harder, the effort spent in the teaming up is likely to cost more than what it'd take to act independently!"
Allynna
Shibuya - Main Square

Turning to face Fuka Allynna smiles. "Or adding flame wall to a aoe melee attack, both pushback, and thorns, plus whatever melee attack happens. me and merek kinda got it to work on Fragment, and if this games physics engine is better, there is no reason to see if it wont work, you justh ave to find the right combination, plus, if the enemy has the right weaknesses... I'm sure there's a bug in the code somwhere."
Fukaziroh
Shibuya - Main Square

Fuka nods to that, considering. "Tanking skills have a lot of pushback abilities." she agrees. "Combining that with a wall of flame would wreck a melee line."

It's a novel idea, she supposes. Not raw damage, but using control elements - her specialty as an Enchanter in fact - to keep the battlefield fluid and the enemy off-balance. There are other options too, and her devious little mind goes churning off on some possibilities. "Nothing wrong with considering possibilities." Fuka agrees. "But what's important is to have good flexible tools. If you plan a fight around a combo, you're going to get fixated on setting up that combo and you're going to screw up." she adds in a patient, lecturing tone. "If you know your tools though, and your allies, you can recognize opportunities as they arise... and let me tell you when THAT happens, it's a thing of true joy!"
Allynna
Shibuya - Main Square

Allynna smirks. "Of course you have to know your allies, it's why developers started putting in guilds as part of the programm." She says. "Way back in the long ago, a game didnt have guilds, well... they also didnt have graphics it was all just text, and so guilds would form with the old style BBS boards." She says with a nod. "But anywaqy, why not think on my idea, if we can make this work with a proactical use.. I'll buy you a huge cake." She says with a nod.
Fukaziroh
Shibuya - Main Square

Fuka gives Ally a sketchy look. "Now you're sounding like a grandma. BBSes? Text?" she scoffs. A true child of the internet age. "Next you'll go on about dial-up!" she shakes her head. The bad old days.

"I'll think about it. Though there are things better than cake I might have on my mind." she notes. Cake is pretty great, yeah. But what if there were better things?! "When I have a solid plan, I'll let you in on it!" she promises.
Allynna
Shibuya - Main Square

Allynna blinks and her eyes go wide. "GRANDMA! I'm only thirty three you know!... I just... started games when i was very young is all..." She says looking away, does she really come off as old... "And what's better than cake... wait... ooohh..."
Fukaziroh
Shibuya - Main Square

Fukaziroh grins and winks. "Hold that thought!" she says. "I'm still working on ideas. And there's a lot that'll need to be made first. But! One day!" she promises, without actually saying what she promises.
Allynna
Shibuya - Main Square

Allynna shakes her head and turns to walk off. "Tease me too much, and you might have your hands full Fuka-chan." She says as she gives a wave. "I have to work out this pent up energy.. I think killing a few scores of mobs should do the trick." She says. "Though, don't think to long about it.. someone might snatch me right from under you."
Fukaziroh
Shibuya - Main Square

Fuka's got to be Fuka. She waves a hand airily. "I will just have to console myself with my hundreds of admirers, if that happens. Patience is a virtue, young grandma." Yes, she's found something effective to tease with. She's only 20. 33 still seems ancient to her! "Have fun! I'll let you know when I have a plan~"
Allynna
Shibuya - Main Square

"I'll just have to tell Thea that you are making fun of older women... I wonder how she'd take it..." Allynna says as she walks towards the town gate.
