Hillside Picnic

Allynna was veyr excited for the picnic she invited Gwen to come and have. After last nights debacle, she felt that somthing like thgis would be much needed, and packed a basket full of sandwiches, potato salad, iced tea, and of course, an apple pie for desert.

Allynna wears a pure white sweater with the sleeves rolld up to her elbows, and a long brown skirt over her legs, ending in a pair of black heeled boots. Having set the blanket up and setting down the basket, she smiles as she takes a look at the view. "Isn;t it breathtaking?" She asks Gwen with a warm smile.

Gwen had not expected to hang out with someone like this just Allynna was so earnest she'd feel bad to have said no and Allynna seemed nice enough. She also needed to clear her mind if the events of the night before as well. She's dressed in something you might expect a logger back on Earth to have but no flannel at least as far as one could tell. Boots pants. She seemed to be in a good mood as she took in the sights.

"You found quite the spot... You know I get where Merek was coming from. Still, we are in their world and have to play their games. Though my patron is nothing like those party-goers and she's a princess."

Allynna giggles. "You sound like one of us.. the new world alliance." She says with a smile. "But.. this isn't a call to recruit you or anything, I just want a nice picnic with someone who could pass for a princess." She says as she settles down on the blanket. "Come, try the food, I had a guildie make it in exchange for me negotiating a deal at one of the freash food vendors for him." She says with a smile as she opens the basket, the aroma of food wafting from the basket, ham and cheese sandwiches, the smell of potato salad, and of course, the apple pie, a very americanized meal for someone who is clearly japanese, even if her english is at a native level.

Gwen says "I have too many responsibilities with crescent Moon even if I wished to. Our role seems to be certain things people miss from Earth. Nothing wrong with giving the people of Yamato a few more ways to party or some basic better farming practices honestly."

She thinks for a moment

"Maybe an Amazon Princess."

Gwen laughs at this and will now go to try the food. She'll start biting into it as she sits down she has fairly good manners at least.

"This isn't the sort of meal I'd expect outside my family's kitchen honestly."

Allynna giggles. "I lived in Tokyo after University, they have quite the cilinary diversion... there was a sandwich shop next to the conbini that served food like this... it was always refreashing to have some for lunch." Granted, Ramen is still her most favorite food of all time.

Biting into her own sandwich she smiles as she swallows. "As long as you arent a Scale member, I'm sure everything will be fine... I do worry about what will happen when they reach the top of aincrad.. I mean... they say you get a wish... what if they decide to send us back?" She says as she looks down. "I'm thinking of proposing to silver sword that we should try and get there first..."

Gwen says "If I can find a way to send people home without screwing those who wish to stay? I will go after it alongside Scale. Otherwise, I do fear the damage they may do to the world. I have guildmates if I can get them home I'd do it. I can respect those who have spouses, lovers or children they wish to get back to at least. I was lucky in my case. True if there's one thing to be said for Americans we love trying other culture's foods."

"There are some good people in scale but I do fear what they might do in the end. Can't worry about that now and I don't want to think about what might happen to some if forced back."

Allynna sighs and looks down after finishing her sandwich before looking up at the sky. "I never want to leave... going back... it's like a special kind of hell that I can't stand." She says as she looks to Gwen.

"Americans are pretty Okay in my book, I'm not one of those who think that people who arent born in japan are stupid.. honestly... I hate most of the traditional outlook.. it's holding them back as a people."

Gwen says "Tradtion has its place honestly. I'm not one for tearing things down. Japan is a pretty old nation after all, lot of things are worth keeping right? I won't press though on that. People do what makes them happy or try to in the end right?"

Allynna giggles. "Oh alot of traditonal things are wonderful, our fesitvals, and the period clothing are things that are great, it's why I love this game, I can wear a kimono in public here and no one bats and eye, by the way, that outfit you made me, it was perfect... I felt like a samuraiko wearing it." She says with a smile as she takes a bite of the potato salad.

"Well, since we don't like tearing down stuff, how about we talk about building things up..." She says with a smile as she turns her head to look at Gwen.

Gwen says "Yeah you should see some of the holiday antics where I grew up. I'm glad it worked out I like helping people look their best you know? " She grins a bit at this and pauses "Yeah building is a lot more fun and enjoyable than destroying right?" She looks back with a grin on her face.

Allynna smiles back and looks back to the sky. "Speaking of which... I have a question for you." She says as she lets out a deep exhale. Looking down to her hands before turning to look at Gwen. "I really can't think of any other way to breach this subject, so.. I'll do the cliche japanese thing and just tell you... I... I like you Gwen... my formal confession..."

Gwen stops mid bite of food at the confession nearly chocking out of pure shock. She goes quiet and looks more thoughtful and thinks for a moment on this there's a lot to think about. "I'm flatted to be sure but This is something I'd need to think on..."

Allynna nods and looks bac kto the cloudy sky and then lays back on the blanket with her hands folded behind her head. "Take your time, I don't plan on vanishing into thin air." She says with a smirk as she lets out a sigh.

Gwen lays back to take a look up at the sky for a moment.

"Also whatever happens or every choice I make don't let my mother find out. She's got a shipping wall."

That's all Gwen's going to say on that. To those who know Gwen, the wall is quite the 'thing' just ask Shiruba about it.

Allynna chuckles. "Funny thing about shipping, it's usualy couples who will never get together... Besides, if you mom wants to ship us, and we ARE together... well, I don't see the harm in it. At least your mom didnt try and get you into an arrangied marriage, even after you tell her 'I don't like guys like that.'"

Gwen says "So you say there still Morricn she's quite the thing let me put it that way. We'll see how it goes and yes that can be a hell of a thing when it comes to 'arranged marriages' Least you told her that right?"

Allynna sits up. "It was a nice picnic if i say so myself." She says with a smile as she looks to Gwen. "C'mon, let's get you home." She says with a warm smile.

Gwen finishes up ans gets up with a grin. "Thank you for showing me this and being open and honest about things." She will look down at the world below. "Wish this damn wings actually worked I'd love to see Yamato from above." With that she'll help clean up and adds "This is a heckl of a world isn't it?"

Allynna nods. "It is.. I have half a mind to build a homestead here." She says as she picks up the basket once they are done. "I nice cozy cottage with a roaring fireplace in the winter sounds nice." She says before offering her arm to Gwen. "Shall we?"

Gwen aceepts Allynna's arm as she gets up. "Homesterading? This might be a nice spot for it. I say go for it!" She grins as the pair heads off.
