The Elf Only Inn Wait...

Erufu is just running her inn unaware of the storm that's comming.

Erufu
Shibuya - Green Dragon Inn

The day was coming to an end. Well, the working day for most things was not too late though for the Elf to close up her Inn for the night she was not quite done her turn at waiting for the tables. The green-haired Pooka was cleaning tables while she waited on more customers whistling a song as she did.
Haru
Shibuya - Green Dragon Inn

Haru makes his way in, a rather cleanly dressed figure. In to the Inn! He gets two good steps inside before sidestepping and taking a moment to take it all in. Stop and smell the roses kind of pause. "I didn't miss final call, did I," he asks with a voice that is has a clear, polished tone to it. A cut gem like his sapphire eyes that look to the elf cleaning up after. Smile. A hand gestures out, "I could use a cup of coffee if you are still serving. One of those long nights, you know?"
Kauchemar
Shibuya - Green Dragon Inn

Shibuya was a long way from Eas and where her inspiration had clamped it's grip on her. But it still had something that Kauchemar sought in Adventurers putting their heart and soul into making their own place in the world.

... Well that and both Wake and Tae had expressed concern in the usually rather well-travelled Nightmare spending too much time huddled with her notes in a corner of the castle and insisted she get some time outside, which in the course of a couple of days had brought her here. Mostly to people-watch, subdue neglected appetite, and in general creep people out slightly with her lurking. Though even the erratic state of mind doesn't keep the bard from picking up on a tune, tail flicking along a few times even while she mulls over some musical structure.
Erufu
Shibuya - Green Dragon Inn

Erufu looks up from the table she's cleaning as she does so she has a big old grin on her face.

"Welcome to the Green Dragon Inn. It's not to late please have a seat, sir! I'm Erufu the owner!"

She pauses and will start to head off to get the coffee as Kauchemar enters she waves to her friend.

"Is there anything I can get for the bard of darkness tonight?"

She almost skips away to get the coffee and is back a few moments later with it to set it down on Haru's table.

"Anything else you might need? Also if you need a room for the night or longer we also have that!"

Her ears wiggle a bit it's clear she enjoys this work.
Haru
Shibuya - Green Dragon Inn

The bard of darkness? Its hard for that not to make Haru take a couple quick glances around until he sees her. Once he does, he raises a hand as a wave. Smile.

"Thanks for having me," Haru says with a constructed warmness, "with service like that how can I not look into a snack to go with it? Do you have any recommendations?" The young human man becomes well seated in his chair. Good posture, the kind that suits courts, if not for a forced slouch a bit after he takes a sip. He can't help but watch Erufu. Something about someone who sincerely enjoys her work like that. Its admirable. Inspiring, even.
Kauchemar
Shibuya - Green Dragon Inn

Tall dark colored equine female holding a cluster of sheet music parchments? That should be fitting enough to match 'bard of darkness' to.

Kauchemar glances up a moment. "I'll take that coffee with a shot of something 'stronger' in it," she murmurs. "And something to eat." Then plants herself in a chair. "I need to finish this analysis while it's still strong in my mind... I'm not composing for Shibuya but it's one of the few other places in Yamato that's been established by Adventurers themselves."
Erufu
Shibuya - Green Dragon Inn

Erufu grins and says "You could try the long strider special! Though in the morning the Second Breackfast is a pretty good deal too."

Well it may be she owns this rather than is working for someone else. Also the a massive lack of red tape in this world too. She will think for a moment more ad she looks over to Kauchemar. She pauses for a moment.

"I think that's what Taggart would call Irish Coffee. All right and if you have too much you can sleep it off here."

She's kind to people like that given what a lightweight she is herself.

She will return with Kau's coffee and hear what Haru wants. The menu's fair is mostly seemingly Western Style food with a slight Japanese fair also oddly quite a few things with cheese.
Haru
Shibuya - Green Dragon Inn

Haru goes with the flow and orders the Long Strider Special at Erufu's recommendation. He takes a deep breath and exhales out the thoughts of the day with closed eyes. When the glacial blues open behind the snowy tufts of his hair, he looks to intimidating figure getting the stronger version of his drink. "Bard of Darkness," he says, "thats an impressive title." Smile.
Kauchemar
Shibuya - Green Dragon Inn

"Next to the bardic arts Dark Magic is my strongest foray," Kauchemar explains. She's a socializer, the erratic state of mind isn't going to keep her from having a conversation. She jots something down, then looks up to regard Haru for a moment. She may be mostly dark colors but those eyes are an unusually bright shade of lavander. "Haven't seen you much," she notes. "Kauchemar Tenebrae."

But after her attention drifts back to her ongoing project. "I'm sorry, my thoughts are in a lot of other places right now."
Erufu
Shibuya - Green Dragon Inn

Erufu will come back in a little bit with the order it seems to be some sort of bird meat sandwich with baked potato side. Though no sour cream it does have some butter though. She'll set it down and she looks to Kau as she comes back with her coffee and sets it down.

"Oh gods, you fell into it again as I did?"

She will then inspect Kau to just be sure on that and she turns to Haru.

"I too haven't seen you about much I'd love to know more about a new customer!"
Haru
Shibuya - Green Dragon Inn

Haru is ever appreciative of a good meal. He places his hands together gracefully and says, "Thank you for the food," as some habits are worth keeping. Elegant as it was, his eyes look like a child's when looking at that potato. Oh glorious potot. He cuts his fork into it and takes a slice with butter as he takes the time to construct an introduction while eatting. Swallow. "A pleasure, Kauchemar Tenebrae. Tenebrae. Latin origins, isn't it? Darkness," he says. Munch another potot. Blue eyes shift to Erufu. Swallow. "I am rather new. Haru Nox. Artificer. I make accessories, mostly," he washes it down with a sip of coffee.
Kauchemar
Shibuya - Green Dragon Inn

"I didn't fall in anything ... Oh." Kauchemar pauses to comb a hand through her mane, and mostly just tucks a bunch of the unruly length behind one ear. Sighs. "Tae is going to be displeased if I return in a state of disarray. Again." She grabs the cup and chugs the drink down in as few gulps as necessary to do so. Then smirks briefly at Haru. "Hey, someone actually picked up on it." Not that Japanese borrowing from other languages for flashy names is anything knew if you've watched the right animes. "Merek may be a bit loony but he'll always be a blessing for the coffee." Picks a sheet back up. "Just a few more measures to this movement..."
Erufu
Shibuya - Green Dragon Inn

Erufu says "Well new as can be."

There are no more adventurers coming after all. With this, she'll take a seat at a table and seems to be in a good mood.

"Oh you make accessories? There will be no shortage of work for you. I may have some things to order from you at some point." If she's got those ears she can have some fun with the sorts of earrings she wears when she has to be formal after all. "Well as I said I'm Erufu I am a 2000 year old high elf that wandered into theses land with a few others of my people. It's been pretty good since we arrive here I'm a ranger more or less as one might put it."
Haru
Shibuya - Green Dragon Inn

Haru has always found language to be a fluid thing that borrows across each others. Its a nuance that he appreciates through the expression of a slightly more genuine smile that one can get when hearing a familiar melody or passage in a script. His attention goes to the meat that compliments the potots, neatly cutting into it for a nibble. "That is great news, it is always good to hear the work is in demand and from such nice people," he says as he turns his head to Erufu. Smile. "When I can picture the person who is using it, it always comes out higher quality. You can't help but do better when you picture the happiness it can bring another person."

No matter how often he hears it, the longer lived races are always such a mystery to him. Haru offers a compliment, "Well you don't look a day over 1600 from what I can tell." Because he can't tell. He can't tell! Is that even young! Did he just call Erufu an old hag? Smile? Smile. "You must have some good stories to share for a newcomer like myself."
Kauchemar
Shibuya - Green Dragon Inn

"Spoken like a true craftsman." Even Kauchemar snickers a little when Erufu's age comes up. Tch. Those wacky Moon Trees.... Then again, she's no better some days. Does it really count as in or out of character when every day is that life now? But she's a performer that doesn't really have an 'off' so...

"It's best to not think about it to hard. Elven ages are a mathmatician's nightmare."
Erufu
Shibuya - Green Dragon Inn

Erufu grins and seems flattered at the compliment." Clearly and RPer but if anyone has ever seen her break character? No one has yet spoken of such. "I do have a few perhaps and yes we can drive them to madness. That is something that she has in common with Kau. This elf does not have an off switch at all really. Maybe she just made the choice to leave Earth Behind and fully embrace her new life. "Though some tales are best left unsaid. I must have have you heard of the Hunter known as Goblin Slayer?"

Wait Hunter as in a Lander?
Haru
Shibuya - Green Dragon Inn

And on that day Haru was spared the madness of figuring out age appropriate commentary to elvish lifespans. "I can't say I have in any detail," he admits, "but already curious." The Lander part alone has him wondering. It is enough to forget about his food! Briefly. While awaiting more information, the young man takes another bite. Om nom.
Kauchemar
Shibuya - Green Dragon Inn

"Goblins are filthy annoying little pests. They deserve a personal exterminator." Kauchemar looks at her papers, then shuffles them off into her inventory. "Meh. Inspiration is so fleeting sometimes." Bits and pieces. Measures and cues. Notes and clefs. It's coming, but everything is still in pieces. Turns out one of the hardest parts of writing a song from scratch isn't the music itself, it's getting everything harmonized together for the maximum effect. Especially at the grandeur she's orcestrating at. Anything less than an epic showpiece will be unacceptable.
Erufu
Shibuya - Green Dragon Inn

Erufu says "He is indeed the best of it he cares about killing Goblins more than any sort of monster out there. Often people forget what they do to the average person who has no fighting experience. They are vile thing horrible things." She pauses her ears twitch a little bit. "He's turned it into a science of how to take them out. Don't let them fool you they are not bright but they are not idiots either. They will also recall anything they are taught...He honestly fights at the level you would expect some of the best Adventurers and he is doing without the blessing those like us have..." She does seem worried about that.

"Your off a bit on the third part of what your working on Kau."

Seems this elf has song as well.

"If you have goblin problems he is the man to call. Even if it's just to be an advisor but he would find some way to go after them, anyway."
Kauchemar
Shibuya - Green Dragon Inn

"They don't have to be smart to be cunning and adaptable. Plus the traps... They also taste terrible, apparently." Kauchemar pauses, as she's probably getting some odd stares for that last comment. "Oh don't give me those looks, I didn't try to eat one!... but I did feed them to my nightmare once." Is that confusing? Probably to the less familiar guy. "I'm also a summoner," she quickly explains to Haru. "I have a 'standard' nightmare as a summonable warmount."

Kauchemar pulls one of the sheets back out and peers at it. "Ugh, you're right, this cadence is an entirely different symphonic undertone that the previous movement."
Haru
Shibuya - Green Dragon Inn

The artificer doesn't have the same ear for music. He does appreciate the work that goes into he craft, but takes measures not to stay into his own head when there is a conversation going on right now about goblins. Haru looks to the elf speaking well of the Slayer, "it sounds like you have an admiration for them." He sips his coffee after he forgets his smile. "Lots to admire there. I'm not much of a fighter myself so its good to know there making the lands safe for the less martial so we can focus on our craft," he goes on. There is a pause there.

"But are they a person who slays Goblins? A Goblin that slays? Slays other Goblins?" Haru wonders aloud. The eyes cast upwards in the possibiliies before rolling towards Kau's line of thought. "Ah, that does make sense. Firey hoofs and mane of charcoal?"
Erufu
Shibuya - Green Dragon Inn

Erufu says "Human so far as I know. You would miss them in a crowd, their armor looks old and somewhat broken. They do not use high end gear only what is needed for the mission. He does not want to leave the goblins anything good if he is slain by them. Which I will see never comes to pass even if I have to sit on him and make him retire someday."
Kauchemar
Shibuya - Green Dragon Inn

Kauchemar narrows her gaze slightly, then gives it a dismissive handwave. "No no no, the whole fire and brimstone bit is a modern archtype. Classical nightmares are nocturnal predators and terrifying omens. They'll feed on Landers and Adventurers and even other Monsters. Swallow them up whole." Kauchemar opens her own mouth wider than should be possible, showing viper-like fangs as she does."
Haru
Shibuya - Green Dragon Inn

Haru rests his eyes on Kauchemar. A slow blink behind the cup of coffee. A degree of listening. The cup is empty. He sets it down and nibbles on what is left of his meal. "Is sitting on people how you generally get people to retire," he asks Erufu, "and does it work?"
Haru
Shibuya - Green Dragon Inn

Haru amends, "Something to look forward hearing about in he morning." Anoher slow blink. The night has slowed things down. "I think I will take a room for the night." And with that he makes the arrangements for a room on the second floor for the sleeps.
Erufu
Shibuya - Green Dragon Inn

Erufu pauses for a moment as Kau opens her maw wide in a horror fashion. The werefang would then find some food flying right into her open mouth if she doesn't do anything. "Sure room four is free tonight!"
Kauchemar
Shibuya - Green Dragon Inn

Instinctively Kauchemar chomps down on there being food in mouth. She probably needed it, too. "Pff. Sleep. I am a creature of the night. The only dreams for me are the ones I haunt!.. and I think I feel one calling right now."

And that's when she slumps back over in the chair, out cold as the Exhaustion status finally catchs up to her.
Erufu
Shibuya - Green Dragon Inn

Erufu sighs goes to fetch a blanket as she has no real way to carry Kau to a room. She'll do what she can before she'll close up to go flop in her own room. To grumble about a certain Goblin Slayer being thick headed.
