Meet the Landers: Mora Chester

By recommendation of her Patron, Yeowang is asked to meet up with a woman in the Eastal Free League, what with the Palace Lands War and all.

Yeowang
Fort Ouph - Main Square

Yeowang has expressed interest in joining Mora Chester's ... faction, to certain people who work for Mora. She has apparently made a sufficiently good impression, general reputation-wise, to be invited for a personal meeting, and she will attend. She's dressed somewhat formally, though still recognizably an adventurer, and when invited in, will approach and bow. "Good evening, Ms. Chester," she says smoothly, a neutral expression on her face.

This is not the first time that Mora and her people have reached out to the Adventurers now. In fact, it is partly because of the success of the previous one that she is looking to place more people within her circle. The Adventurers are agents of chaos, certainly, but they are also incredibly resourceful.

As Yeowang sits across from her, she considers her for a while in silence. Her stern expression and dark clothing making her seem rather intense about the whole situation.

Then, she begins; "You have a lot of access now, thanks to the Red Chain. How willing are you to leverage this access, were you to be asked?"

Yeowang sits straight, her posture elegant, her expression smooth as Mora watches her quietly. When she finally does speak, Yeowang nods agreement about having access. "The Red Chain goes many places," she agrees. She considers briefly, but there is a subtle tone of amusement at the question. "Such leverage as it may exert, I am willing to exert," she replies. It's not known to anyone other than her, in truth, but when she put the organization together, it was entirely planned by her as a way to leverage access and influece, and the healers and rescue people were more an excuse to go places. It really only evolved as a medical relief organization when it dovetailed with the plans of her Alliance mates. But she's got some small healing skill, in this game, which gives her enough of the bonafides to take part in the various humanitarian aid efforts.

"I remember when you were starting to create it. We know the people you contacted at the time." Mora Chester answers Yeowang. "And because my people noticed, I noticed." She calmly takes out a piece of paper, and something that looks like a medieval version of a pen, and writes something upon the paper, and then passes it to Yeowang.

"The Palace Landers are obviously a problem. But my people are looking at halting something else at this time. There has been an outside influence within Ninetails for a while now. We'd like you to go in and start clearing out a path leading to the norther region. This will specifically require cleaning out an area named the 'Payon Dungeon'. We just need the first floor cleared for this. There's a constant presence of undead that is spilling out onto the land, no doubt related to the second Vampire in the region. As soon as their numbers have been thinned out, we can move further north in order to start investigating the second Vampire in question."

Yeowang is mildly surprised that Mora's been watching the Red Chain since it's formation. That's indicative of a person with a fine attention to detail, which is an admirable thing, and she will take that note that's passed and read it. She nods about the Palace Landers, but looks concerned about this other influence in Ninetails. "Payon Dungeon?" she repeats, to get the name down, and nods about how the undead presence supporting vampires and abetting the other regional villains.

"I will see that the Payon Dungeon's first floor is cleared," she agrees. "The region as well, as needs be cleared to access the dungeon."

"When you are done with the first pass of clearing it out, return to me. It'll allow me to send out the first scouts, and for me to explain more about the organization I am a part of." She explains to Yeowang. "I already know you are someone who can move politically. I now need to see if you can move /strategically/ first." Mora Chester explains.

Yeowang nods about returning to Mora Chester after the first pass, and about learning more about Mora's organization. /That/ is a goal she's keen on, so she nods agreement. Moving strategically is a thing she's learning to do here, she has hopefully learned that well enough in her time here that she will be able to impress Mora with her skill in getting things done. "I will see that it is done," she replies. "You may rely upon it."

Mora Chester bows her head. "The paper holds the coordinates of this cave, and the general directions on how to get there. Work with the Adventurer's guild to get this posted without betraying the true nature behind this ask." She asks of Yeowang.

Yeowang nods gravely, glances at the directions, and slips the paper into her inventory. "With the war and other crises going on, it should be easy to present it as a thing needed to reduce the background threat so the Palace Landers may be dealt with and not fear threats at our rear," she proposes. "I will let you know when this is complete."

Mora nods and rises back up, motioning her hand to the door. "May we speak again soon, Adventurer." She offers her.

Yeowang rises as well, nods about speaking again soon. "I look forward to it," she replies, and will exit and get started on this project right away.
